ABC's Dancing With The Stars Needs Chiropractic Too
During ABC's new popular program, Dancing With The Stars, football great Emmitt Smith discussed his key relationship with his chiropractor, Robert Parker, DC. The show included footage showing Smith receiving treatment from Dr. Parker prior to his dance competition; Dr. Parker has been treating Smith since 1995. According to head judge Len Goodman, Smith went on to deliver "the best samba of the night". During the same episode, two of the show's dancing professionals, Karina Smirnoff and Ashly DelGrosso, were dancing injured. As a result, program producers had a chiropractor standing by just in case the women needed treatment.

Chiropractic - It's Not Just About Back and Neck Pain - It's About Wellness
According to data from the National Health Interview Survey conducted in 2002, at any given time approximately one quarter (26.4%) of U.S. adults report having suffered from low back pain lasting at least an entire day in the preceding 3 months. Neck pain lasting at least an entire day was reported by 13.8% of U.S. adults within the preceding 3 months. These are two of the most common conditions prevalent in society today and comprise a large percentage of the people that seek chiropractors care. However, more and more people are learning about the wellness related benefits of chiropractic care. This includes chiropractic care designed to not only alleviate pain, but care that has been designed to improve one's overall wellbeing. Call today and allow us to show you what chiropractic care has to offer you and your entire family!

Massage Effective In Managing Dementia Patients
In the review of two clinical trials, Danish researchers have found that hand massage appears to calm patients suffering from dementia - the predominant symptom of Alzheimer's patients. The effects of dementia are difficult to manage - wandering, difficulty with eating and bathing, anxiety, confusion and agitation. It is very exciting to explore treatment methods such as therapeutic touch and massage in order to assist the relief of these problems naturally. While more studies are needed to evaluate the effects of massage on patients suffering from dementia, it is clear that different forms of therapeutic touch and massage have some very powerful and as of yet unexplored benefits on the human body.

All Exercise Beneficial For Type 2 Diabetics
In a review of 27 past studies, New Zealand researchers report that any type of exercise has significant benefits for those suffering from Type 2 diabetes. It also appears that the more severe the extent of the diabetes is, the more effective exercise will be. Researchers did find resistance training combined with cardiovascular exercise appears to be the most beneficial for controlling blood sugar in type 2 diabetics. It's also essential for type 2 diabetics to follow important dietary recommendations for their disease, as incorporation of exercise and dietary modifications will have far greater benefits than either exercise or dietary modifications alone.
