Chiropractic: Essential for Back Pain.
New research published in the prestigious Spine journal again shows chiropractic superior for back pain. Researchers compared the results of spinal manipulation (chiropractic care) to needle acupuncture and to medication in the management of chronic spinal pain (pain greater than 13 weeks in duration). According to the data, early pain-free recovery occurred in 3 times more individuals receiving spinal manipulation as compared with need acupuncture and more than 5 times more individuals receiving medication. In other words, chiropractic was superior in getting back pain sufferers symptom-free early on!

When Will My Back Pain Go Away?
When back pain arises, many people mistakenly assume it will eventually go away on its own. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case. Researchers completed a comprehensive analysis of 3 dozen previous studies and found over 60 percent of patients who reported back pain, still suffered 12 months later. The percentage of those who experienced relapses of back pain was 60 percent. Researchers concluded, “… LBP does not resolve itself when ignored.” If you’re suffering from back pain, don’t continue to put off proper treatment. U.S. House of Representatives Demands Chiropractic
Several years back, lawmakers created legislation to provide chiropractic care to veterans. Unfortunately, due to excessive bureaucracy, years later veterans are still anxiously awaiting coverage of needed chiropractic services. Realizing the importance of chiropractic care, the U.S. House of Representatives recently ordered the Department of Veterans Affairs to speed up the introduction of chiropractic services to veterans. We tip our hats to the House of Representatives!

Our Ancient Spines
Back/spinal injuries have been around since the beginning of time. In fact, the ancient physicians Hippocrates and Galen studied and wrote their findings on spinal diseases and disorders. The fact that we’re upright and active makes us susceptible to back problems. While this will never change, we do have chiropractic on our side. Chiropractic care helps keep spines healthy and helps keep people active and feeling great! Don’t continue to live in ancient times. If you haven’t yet tried chiropractic care, call us today!
