Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems and concerns.

In order to determine the underlying cause of your problem, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized orthopedic and neurologic tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. All x-rays taken by this office remain our property; x-ray copies are available at a small fee per film.

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will be scheduled to review the exam and x-ray findings and discuss treatment options with the doctor. This generally takes place later the same day or the next day. After the case has been explained to the patient and treatment options selected, the first treatment will be given; this may include spinal manipulation, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue therapy.

On typical treatment visits, patients may be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

You will be given convenient appointment times for your follow-up visits, and for your comparative progress exam, which usually occurs after ten treatments.
